A study was conducted by The University of Adelaide and it has been observed that the children who eat healthy have IQs up to two points higher than the children obsessed with junk food.
Dr. Lisa Smithers, who led the study group, concluded that their study exhibits the most substantial evidence that dietary patterns from six to twenty – four months have a minor but significant corollary on IQ at eight years of age. She also stressed upon the significance of evaluating the long – term effect of the victuals before feeding to children.
The research group examined the connection between the dietary patterns of children at six months, fifteen months and two years and then their IQ level’s at eight years of age.
Seven thousand kids were observed from their conventional home – arranged nourishments, breastfeeding, pre-packaged food, dehydrated and junk snacks.
The team found that by the age of eight, those children who were breastfed at six months and had nutritious stimulating diets (such as intakes of legumes, cheese, fruits, and vegetables) at fifteen and twenty – four months, had up to two points higher IQ.
